As Chairman of The Ho-Am Foundation, I would like to take this opportunity to invite you to join our activity of searching for pertinent candidates for the 2014 Ho-Am Prize, the most prestigious award bestowed on ethnic Korean people every year.
The Ho-Am Prize, presented by The Ho-Am Foundation, was established in 1990 by Mr. Kun-Hee Lee, the Chairman of Samsung, with a vision to create a new corporate culture that continues the noble spirit of public service espoused by the late Chairman Byung-chull Lee, founder of Samsung. Since its establishment, the Prize has been given to more than 100 prominent ethnic Koreans at home and abroad who have made outstanding achievements in the fields of Science, Engineering, Medicine, The Arts, and Community Service, thereby eventually contributing to the progress of humankind.
Enclosed, please find an official nomination form with information concerning the Prize and the procedures for making a recommendation for next year’s candidate. And it would be immensely appreciated if you could participate in this activity by recommending someone from within your esteemed organization or within your range of knowledge who fits our requirements for the 2014 Ho-Am Prize laureate.
I look forward to your kind support and encouragement.
